Are you feeling stuck? Overwhelmed at work or in a relationship? Suffered the loss of a loved one or someone close? Are you looking for a change but don’t know where to begin? Are the strategies you’ve relied on in the past not working?

We’re all faced with challenges that leave us stuck and alone in those feelings, unable to move forward. Every step in my journey is a commitment to fostering healing and resilience to help resolve these issues, to step into your shoes and walk with you as we work through them.

Looking for help isn’t a failure and while it may feel difficult to commit to therapy taking that first step is essential to finding ways to examine and relate to the issues in your past that are stopping you from moving forward.

With years of experience working privately and with both Mind and Cruse Bereavement Care, my focus is on addressing mental health challenges individually with adults. These challenges include anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, and navigating life pressures, work conflicts, relationship issues, and bereavement.

How Rachel Sher Can Help You

My Values And Principles

I believe that therapy is essentially a transformative journey of discovery aimed at bringing positive change and clarity into your life. It’s not just about talking and listening, it’s about exploring and understanding the complexities of your experiences.

Whatever your goal is it’s a path we’ll take together. Each session is a safe place for you to take the steps required on your journey in a calm and confidential environment. My ultimate goal is to support you from wherever you are to the place you want to be.

We can all make the changes we want in our lives.

As an experienced Integrative Therapist, my therapeutic approach is tailored towards your individual growth and healing. I place a central emphasis on Psychodynamic Therapy, a powerful therapeutic modality that unveils the hidden realms of your unconscious thoughts and feelings.

Alongside this, I incorporate Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which allows us to explore how your past and present thoughts, feelings and beliefs and patterns of behaviour impact you in the way you relate to others and to yourself and play a crucial role in your emotional well-being.

This integrative approach helps to form a comprehensive yet non-prescriptive strategy to support your personal growth and healing journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first therapy session?
Our first session will last 50 mins. It will be an opportunity for me to understand what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you are facing and what you hope to achieve through therapy, your goals and expectations and to see if I am the right therapist for you.

How long does each therapy session last?
Each session is 50 minutes. I offer weekly short-term and long term open ended therapy.
How can I tell if therapy is working for me?
You can often gauge therapy’s effectiveness by noticing positive changes in your thoughts, emotions, or behaviours. Feeling more self-aware, managing stress better, improving relationships and increasing coping skills are all indicators that therapy is working for you.
Do you offer remote or online sessions for individuals unable to travel?
I offer in-person sessions at two convenient locations: in Central London at First Floor, 5 Staple Inn, High Holborn, London WC1V 7QH (Central Line), and in North London at The Therapy Rooms, 4th Floor, 314 Regents Park Road, Finchley, London, N3 2JX. In addition, I provide online sessions via Zoom, ensuring that therapy is accessible regardless of your location. Whether you choose in-person or remote sessions, my services are designed to provide support for those who may be unable to travel, making therapy flexible and easily accessible.
